Girl has a great voice. YOu just put too much into that 2nd verse. Pace yourself and you will stay on pitch and not over kill the song. BTW Were is my whistle note. That's the money note in that song. If you can't hit that note, then pick another song. But you can sing your azz off. Just remember to control the song.Don't let the song control you.

Chante is showing her stuff "Acapella", what control of her vocals. Fantastic. This shows what a vocalist can do. You have nothing to hide behind, what you hear is TRUE SOUND AND TRUE PITCH. WOnderful to close your eyes and feel the chills running up your arms. Delightful. People that try and ditz you, ignore. Keep on singing and God Bless!

Sister u didn't try to hard. God gave u an Instrument use it alway. Its just that Chante sangs that song so soft its magic... Her voice is like crystals floating. Only Roberta Flack has clarity like that! When u find ur true voice its going to be sinful... Bronwnstone song u can pipe. Listen to Rachelle Farrell and try to control ur note with ur vocal cords... Move ur neck from side to side more to easy up on vibrato... The notes will float out of ur vocals..

I will try that song and if I can perform it anywhere near as good as Anita I will post it... I just got the role of Aida after about 4 auditions starting in August in Vegas... yes, I am excited b/c I was told that Elton John is expected to attend... he composed the music for Aida... anyway, thanks for the compliments and I will post some of the Aida songs soon.

Dunno what everyone hears..I understand that maybe you don't have as much emotion as Chante, but this is a Chante song! You're voice is great, you should do Chantes song "If I Gave Love"...I believe that you would sound really good on that too!

Make sure you focus and understand what the song is about and not be so dramatic. Hold off on some of the unnecessary runs. You have a great voice, but do not really know how to use it. Try singing some old school Brownstone songs, and I think you will find your niche.

For the record, I loved the performance. I saw the other post about the interpretation. What they're trying to say is that Chante' wrote that addressing a very painful time in her life. She sang it acapella on stage as well. You can feel the pain in her voice as she sings it. There's nothing wrong with your performance. You're just coming from a different place. Keep up the great work! Look forward to hearing more.

Thanks for your comment... my first attempt at a capalla live in front of an audience... I probably tried too hard but I had fun just listening back to all the imperfections and working of fixing them... you've got a good ear:)

TOO nasal and off pitch, focus more on the notes than the theatrics. You are trying too hard to make it your own. Please don't take offense just one persons humble opinion. Keep trying, maybe a different artist will sound different for your voice.

The song lost a lot in interpretation. It's one of my favorite song but meant to be sung softly with a hint of desperation. Probably too much force. U can definetly sing for sure, just gotta work on the control.
