The irony is that both Iron Maiden and Metallica were probably influenced by this band. Look at the "we began the slaughter of the red man" lyrics here and "white man came across the sea, he brought us pain and misery" from 'Run to The Hills' by Maiden, for example. Don't forget or ignore history, musical, OR political/social. This song hasn't got a wasted lyric in it, unlike many of post-1990 Metallica's songs (unfortunately).

2 brave friends and I used this in a Am-lit Culture project as high school juniors in 69 The teacher was a tyrant, this song as the final in a series and our justification for it that earned a B top in the class. It still rings true today, history ignored is destined to repeat itself, still the masses are controlled by the machine of a few. Started in Nov, we can bring back Amer. Ideals while at the sametime learn from mistakes of the past.
