Are you drunk? Tyson was the best ever when he fought Spinks or maybe his fight after losing to douglas. As far as holyfield almost being over the hill, holyfield just fought an amazing fight at the age of 47 a couple days ago. After he got out of prison he was just head hunting, he lost his style without cus damato. Holyfield was winning before tyson bit him, but he was also making some cheap shots.

Holyfield was in a different weight-division aswell as lennox lewis in their primes...lennox evaded tyson when they were both young and tyson started out in heavyweight division and ended in heavyweight division.

Tyson was just a pure beast and has one of the most powerful punches in boxing history. That being said I would not have him in my top 25 fighters of all time nor would anyone who knows the sport well. Tyson would have probably beaten Holyfield, but we will never know...

no one knows what would happen, tyson has great body shots so it dont matter about the height it all matters about what would happen in the ring i like both of them but i would not think ali could stand up to the powerful hits tyson would do to his body and tyson better cover his head....tyson was built like a tank true!! but ali has the best hands as in accuracy but tyson has speed and muscle

Holyfield would have beaten him if they were both in there primes, he had enough skill to do so and a better chin then other people that went the distence with Tyson plus Holyfield has more of a will to win then Tyson

So ,you see ,it's unfair to compare the different tyson.The little "nuinsese"could make all the difference.Even something like tyson in 1988 moving his head in a quicker fraction of a second faster,might have been all he would have needed to beat douglas that tokyo night or maybe that "double left" hook he stopped thowing for ever might have been enough to beat evander had "they met" in 1989It's a miscarriage of justice not to compare that force of nature who demonstrated "brute skil" vs spinks.

After 1988,He adapted a "peculiar" try for the one punch (only a right hand,never lefts in the right time)style to get his opponent out of there.Once a "crafty" opponent learned how to "step in" to mikes "lunging right hands" ,it was over for mike who didn't have game plan 'B" or "c" .Believe it or not rooney and tyson had those plans all the time. His decline in training and following those damato techniques "correctly" began right after he fired rooney,Bruno 1 was the first fight of a different tyson ,not douglas,that was only the inevitable from how he looked against bruno..Bruno was a 4 minute steak for a 1988 tyson my friend ..Rooney said he made a hundred mistakes in the bruno 1 fight.He telegraphed his right going for the one punch because he didnt train for 12 to 15 rounds anymore and he didnt have the old trainers.

He didn't train PROPERLY.There was only one formula that worked for tyson and that was the damato techniques practiced correctly and for 7 days a week.Remember the video interview back in jan.1988 showing how heavy tysons training regimine was 7 days 10 hrs a day.That's the fighter I'm talking about.

Plays 2 his strengths b/c if MT was better then, Holy was MUCH btr - he didn't have the wear/tear of Foreman,Bowe 3X, Mercer, health probs. He threw faster & sharper (not harder) combos than MT & could do it for 15 rds unlike MT. +, much better legs back then. & Mike had his chance b4 jail, but his sore ribs made him puss out. Meanwhile Holy brawls w/bowe with hepatitis. If they fight earlier, Holy gets him out by Rd. 8. By then he'd have dropped combos like he did on George,&good night nurse.

I know he didn't train 4 Buster but MT said himself he trained hardest 4 both Holy fights. When did I say a boxer is better of w/inactivity? But U can fight every 3 months when U KO dudes in 1st, MT sometimes a victim of hisown success b/c he didn't get the work in. But when he fought Buster, Razor, he was getting busted up - if U "know" boxing U should know it takes months just 2 heal. MT made no excuses, Y do MT fans? Younger MT made even more 2 order for Holy, attack plays 2 his strengths.

Just 2 clairfy - I hated Tyson, but always respected him - I NEVER jumped on the post-Holy fights rap that "Mike was nothing more than a bully & now he's exposed" mentality. Even Atlas tried saying that shits on "Rigside" docmtry re: EH's career, & bandwagon MT fans did this. Fact =, MT = 1 of the greatest, but Holy was better, & a few others were pretty close 2 his level at their peaks, 80's or 90's. EVERY man, incl. Robinson, Ali, etc. runs in 2 a man that has his #, and Holy had Mike's.

The "fact" that tucker/spnks could've won againt '96 tyson = nuts. MT actually fought great, & the 1st rt. hand on Holy alone would've KO'd most. Rd 5?? MT fan just can't accept Holy = btr. I say he didn't belong/desderve 2b there it's b/c he was not a real hvy weight, and when I say he didn't deserve 2b there is b/c he clearly lost the 2nd fight 2 Holmes, & his 'win' was clearly the reason he was considered the lineal champ by many.
