Yes, you're right. But if G-d forbid my house catches on fire, I'm out the window or fire escape. My question is, can one fit through the bedroom window? It appears too small to squeeze through, and if you're sleeping, such a tiny place would disappear in a few short minutes.

I like it. But it is really only for one person. I couldn't live there cuz I got 3 kids and a wife but it would nice to take on a solo vacation. He should have made the toilet retractable so he'd get more room in the shower. If there was a fire in there, I don't know how anyone could get out alive.

I wonder how the plumbing works in terms of shower, toilet and kitchen sink? He isn't hooked up to any outside pipes, so he must have some sort of holding tank that has to be dumped periodically. Probably at least once a week. Which would mean paying to dump it at an appropriate site, and having it cleaned out now and then. So he would have to move the house physically quite often, or bring the tank in a vehicle somewhere.

A foam rubber mattress would easily fit up through the hatch, I have one of those memory foam ones and it came rolled up in a box !!

Not a stupid question, a very good one. It's probably a thinner, collapsable style mattress that he just folded and pushed through the loft entrance hole. They have some mattresses that are puffy, and you can manipulate them to some extent. You can tell in the video it isn't far off the ground, and there is no box spring.
