Okay to start. that is not a functions check. She is very talented for a little girl but that is not the record. I know because I did it in 1 min 6 seconds with a sling, and I took off the handguards and had to do a full functions check with semi and auto. If this is really the world record, I will post a video of me doing it like her in less time than that. I have it recorded in my Army ROTC department in Montana if anyone wants to challenge me.

I recently picked up a new DPMS AP4 in 5.56mm/.223 with an A3 upper and military contour barrel (M203 GL cut out). I plan on mounting either an Eotech or Aimpoint red dot sight on top... I actually favor the Aimpoint just for it's simple, small red dot rather than Eotech's crosshair reticle. Good vid - 5 stars.

Transferrable Full-Autos are extremely expensive, near 10,000 dollars for an M16. They have to be manufactured before 86 and you don't get a stamp from a Class 3 dealer, you get the stamp from ATF on a Form 4. The weapon is only TRANSFERRED to a Class 3 dealer. There is a lot of misunderstanding regarding these. The only way you're going to get one cheap is to become a Class 3 dealer yourself which is going to cost more anyway.

They are all good. Just get a name brand. If you want a full auto you will need to get a tax stamp from a class 3 dealer. The rifle isn't much more. The tax stamp has to be applied for through A.T.F. They aren't that much really.

yes and no, some manufactures make full auto versions for the military and law enforcement. Civilians can only get semi auto versions now unless they pay thousands (and i mean $10,000+) of dollars for a registered one from a private collector. ar-15s and varients are civilian versions M16 M4 are military firearms.

"eliminates the recoil" i lol'd, thats definately not true Never fired a gun with a silencer on it have you? 80% of recoil comes from gasses escaping after the bullet leaves. With a silencer the escaping gasses are captured and allowed to disipate slowly. The balance of felt recoil comes from the old equal and opposite reaction from the bullets mass. The silencer actually helps with that too due to the extra mass of the silencer.

As for the rest, sure they get a lot of wear and tear. They are working guns and get used. No safe queens here. And from time to time we have something break so they dont work right. Stuff happens then we fix it latter. It's all good, and it is a ton of fun. If you get the chance try it before you make an uniformed comment. The guns are not the dnagerous item, its the person. Teaching new shooters with a suppressed weapon is a great benefit because it eliminates the recoil, noise and muzzle concussion. That allows the new shooter to learn proper technique without building bad shooting habbits because of the flinch. The machineguns are used primarily for training Military ppeople going overseas. If you saw the collection of inert ordnance you would have a heart attack. We do a lot of foreign weapons training. Besides that, it is within my rights, like it or not.

WOW! The lack of real info here is astounding. A class 3 license is not what is required to own a NFA item (Machinegun, suppressor, short barreled rifle) Class 3 is what a dealer has, you pay a tax of $200 per serialized item. The tax is a property tax and is deductable. Suppressors have many uses other than killing people. That is hollywood BS. If you go to a range in many European countries without a can, it is considered bad form. And you do not need subsonic rounds to make the effective.

Well... the "why own one because they are only for killing" argument has been used on everything from handguns to black guns to guns that hold more than one round to guns in general. I can personally think of many more reasons to own a suppressor than I can think of to own a stereo in my car that can damage the hearing of innocent people from a mile away, but I don't think those stereos should be illegal either. Things should only be taken from those who abuse them and the abusers punished.

The bolt release/catch is a toggle style button on the left side of the reciever. It can only lock the bolt to the rear when the charging handle is pulled back or send the bolt home from the lock back posistion. THe charging handle is what you would use to chamber a round if the bolt was forward and you inserted a new mag or to clear a malfunction "tap, RACK, ready". The blot release would be good to use if you were doing a reload after expending an entire mag, just slap the bolt release.

Yeah this looks like a fun way to get my first AR style rifle. It seems if your mechanically inclined, this is a great way to learn more about the rifle, and know the in's and out's of it. It seems important to understand the full function of a rifle and all of its nooks and crannies if your going to be shooting it. Awaiting more vids on this.

In Kansas you don't have to have a permit for any weapons. Unless of course they are class 3 weapons (full auto, short barrel rifles, etc). I don't believe that an AR15 can even fire a projectile 4.8 miles (8,509 yards), and the fact that your dad could even see an 18 inch target at 4.8 miles, that's great. But if you say he did, hey, good job for him. Too bad Guinness book of world records were not there to document it.

I'd say $200-$250 to great started, but is great to do! Although I have not reloaded for the .223, I do reload all the other rifles I've profiled. It is a great advantage, particularly when working with antiques, like most of my rifles are.

I haven't chronographed it, I'm only estimating the speed by 1) what powder load my friend says he loads for the round and 2) What the Hodgdons website states that load produces in that specific rifle. Google Hodgdons reloading data center. They provide an extensive database for loads and the FPS created by each load. I have chrono'd my rifles (This rifle posted here is not mine) and the FPS data posted here has always been fairly accurate.

ok, I wouldn't ask over a few fps, which isn't a big deal, but did U say an 80 grain bullet at 2,825 fps? thats still fast for an 80, U should chronograph them, I'm thinking with 24 grains of H4895 U should be somewhere around 2,650 and 2,725 FPS for that barrel (looks like 20 inches) and how did U fit the rounds into the mag, was it still within mag-length with an 80 grain bullet seated? Don't mean to sound like an ass, I'm jus curious how U got what U say U did.....

Good comment, I screwed up the data, my error. I had .224 Cal, Sierra #9390 HPBT MK, 80 grn at 2,925 FPS, when I should have had it at 2,825 FPS, bringing it down to 1,418 FPE. Energy at 600 yards drops to 518, not 550 as I posted. Although most all the rifles I've posted are mine, this rifle belongs to a friend, and I'm going off the reload information he has provided, (24 grains of H4895), the FPS data is retrieved from Hodgdons site. Varget with 25 grains shows 2869 FPS, 1,462 FPE.

nice video, but how did U get 1,500 ft lbs out of ur rifle? and to still have 550 ft lbs @ 650 yards, U must have been using 75 grain HP-BTs or 80 grain VLDs..... and how much over-pressured did U load them? I could see a 75 grain round putting out 12-1300 ft lbs, but how 1,500???
