Yeah, I agree with DjimiPaij. I think she's just proud of what she and her band/producers were able to do with this record. I'd feel pretty damn proud and accomplished myself if I had even half the talent Kathleen has. And ditto about the Dylan/Young comparisons; I think her songwriting abilities are very similar to theirs at this still young-age of her career, so it seems fair to me to compare her to them in that sense. I only hope she sticks around nearly as long as they have.

Hmmm, I see your point, however it's not KE herself making the Dylan/Young comparisons, and the guy who does say it, IMO, is just stating how stylistically her music is like those, which it is on the whole. As for saying how great her songs are, at the end she just says she wants to be great. And even if she did say "My songs are great", well it would be true! Where I live, she's better than everything in the current Top 40 singles chart.

Both Don Pullen and George Adams were giants--so incredible yet underrated. God only knows why. And has anyone ever thanked Dannie Richmond for being and giving?? Always thought Mingus was at his peak when working with Don Pullen and George Adams, there seems to be telepathy between them.. Can't recommend the album this track was taken off enough, Mingus Moves, a real unappreciated gem that deserves the same recognition as Black Saint and the Sinner Lady and other classics.
