Even though the purists love the silent version better, I loved how the series grew with dialog in the second series. I like both, and wish Chung would get this going again (if MTV had any brains whatsoever they'd release the copyright back to him - they can't be making a ton off it anymore?)

you know i'd have to agree too man, the movie was shit in my eyes compared to the animated MTV episodes, she was wicked , and in the movies they distorted the image that Peter Chung had made her into. Like in one of the later episodes she's singing while blowing up a factory, something about "Danger-Boy" and when shes rolling down the launch bay walls in "Demi-Urge" with trevor. They were character building scenes.

Reminds me of the days when MTV was cool and when I disobeyed my parents and watched MTV in elementary school (in private of course). Movie sucked though. No one from the animated series was involved with it and Peter Chung basically sold out. Saw it 3 years ago and it was absolute garbage. Everything you could think of from the series was either distorted or changed. For those of you who remember the series, you know what I'm talking about.

Aeon Flux is one of the best Anime of all time! It's too bad MTV screwed-up the live-action movie! It was a waste of a perfectly good cast! The film is just a piece of the story--visit the video game and you get even more elements and expansions. As for contents that made it into the film--characters, food, weapons (like the spikes she uses when she's in the white), buildings/structures, and of course character themes and those are just a few. I liked this episode too. Seska was a good foil for Janeway and Chakotay. Whereas Janeway stood for almighty Federation principles (although "Endgame" seems to suggest otherwise), Seska stood for anarchy and survival by any means necessary. I've always felt, however, that the revelation of her being a Cardassian was always a bit of a stretch. Still, this series needed a villain in the first couple of seasons and we got at least a decent one with Seska.

Of course that mostly applies to the last two films. The first film had the same problems but it wasn't JUST those problems, it also averaged out to being a pretty decent action film. The last two didn't even have that going for them. They were nothing but pseudo philosophical bull-ass crap.

Locke's views on ideas were/are a walking contradiction, sort of like the name "Captain Janeway" lol. I've studied philosophy for nearly three years, and before then I just nodded my head and assumed the Matrix was both smart and insightful.
