Katee was by far the best dancer, Personality, Technique, and Passion. She is a beautiful dancer and a beautiful person. All of my favorite dances from the season were with her. Hometown Glory, the pas de duex and this.

well what do you really expect? they arent brazilian, and there is no way they can learn a true samba in only two or three days, which is all they have to learn the dance, so they learn an EXTREMELY modified version. its entertaining and fun anyways.

In a way they both did. Josh may have won the season but he wasnt the only one to win money. Katee won money for being the last female in the competicion. First time they ever gave someone other than the winner prize money. I'd consider them both winners. Josh for the season, Katee for the being the last female.

And about the expert thing. Most people will like most hollywood movies. And i mean really like them. But do these hollywood movies add anything to the history of filmaking? Most of them don't. This dance, even the whole show, is just another outlet of consumerism. People get brainwashed. luvrdance...you're an idiot. Dance isn't about being "technical" anymore. Someone can walk around a stage for 5 minutes to one note on the piano and it can be called "dance". Dancing is about the affect if has on the audience and what it evokes in them. This Mia Michaels routine is thought provoking, has a story and moves people. Just because you're more than likely used to "one and two and heel extension" doesn't mean you can criticize someone else's art.

This is really awkward. To the untrained eye it looks very intense and difficult. However it's really nothing. The whole piece is not together, it's just a bit of running around and making some "contemp moves". The pretentious dancing doesn't fit to the simple sounds and lyrics of the background song. This is really a disgrace to dancing and there are alot better contemp dances on youtube. If you find this to have "meaning": check yourself.

He is incredible. But Nigel is the only one who ran with the "untrained" story. Josh listed that he had formal training on his Fox bio, mentioned it on the show, and in interviews early in the competition. He just hasn't had steady or intensive training like some might. More off and on, summer workshops, etc. And he had training in hiphop, but Nigel turns his nose up at that. Not "real" training, you see. Nigel's an idiot. That said, both of them outdo themselves in this piece. Beautiful.

no wonder joshua won!! he deserved it 100% but i still am sad that twitch didn't win but all of the dancers on this show are amazing and i can feel the pain or happiness as they step through these dance numbers. they danced it brilliantly and they both deserved to come as far as they did and i applaud katee and joshua because they just brought so you think you can dance to a whole new level

In my opinion, there are 2 main differences between lyrical and contemporary. #1-Lyrical is more ballet heavy with a modern flare Contemporary is more modern heavy with a ballet based technique often necessary. #2- With lyrical you're interpreting the words of the song through the dance, contemporary doesn't necessarily need to interpret the words, it can interpret the feeling moreso than the words.

I want Benji to tech me some of his style of swing. Im some-what of an intermedite Lindy-hop swing dancer. Im still kind of learning, but I am pretty darn decent at following.. but still. Im sure if he taught me some swing then I would vastly improve what i already know.

I don't think its really Benji's fault that the dance was more simple, I think Benji had to choreograph an easier routine since these two are really out of their element. West coast swing is by far one of the most difficult dances out there as far as the technique is concerned, you need really skilled dancers with some ballroom experience to do well in this.

normally i cringe when they try and present "cultural" dances on shows but this was awesome and really well done. It was also very unique. I don't know another US show that featured indian dance.
