xo i know how hard it can be to feel so numb. ..to feel like you should be feeling something and you aren't-or-maybe to feel scared to face and feel something. when i feel this way- i 1. write. poetry, anything. sometimes even if i don't feel better right away after writing it, it helps me sort out what might be going on with me. and if when i read it, it really reflects how you feel, it can make your feel like you accomplished something from feeling that way. xo

Hey sorry if this offended you! :) people have told me this before, but one thing I didn't mention was that what I'm talking about here was way back when i was trying to learn common Malay expressions. I pieced together Boleh Merokok from the no smoking signs and the common expression for "can?" I stopped asking in English after some of them couldn't understand and I had to mime it. You make a good point about me looking like a local.. haha, guess he felt comfortable kickin me out! cheers!

Hey I'm Malaysian.. The cab driver probably didn't hear you when you asked if you could smoke in his cab. I barely understood... "Boleh merokok?" is a wierd way to ask if you can smoke in the car... Something less wierd would be, "Boleh rokok tak dalam kereta ni?" Or just ask in english.. all cab drivers here can speak in English to some degree... He probably though you were rude for suddenly opening the window and starting to smoke. And you look local... you should know better...

However science cannot deal with something that is immaterial and timeless. Notice on television, that everyone eyes are positioned about two thirds the way up on screen, whether they are in front of the camera or in full body shot? Get a closer shot of yourself and get your eyes about two-thirds towards top of screen. I think you would find it more effective and it would go with the man talking his peace better.
