Fill the pot with oil to the same level as the water was without the turkey. Heat to 325 F. SLOWLY lower the turkey into the hot oil. Keep the temp steady. Cook for 3 minutes per pound of turkey.

Yes, deep frying a turkey can be very dangerous--if you are a complete idiot!! "It looks like our partially frozen turkey is ready". NO it is not. It must be completely thawed and dry before dropping it in hot oil. This video should have spent more time showing how to do it correctly and safely, not just to scare people away from trying it. I have cooked many turkeys in my time and I have done it many different ways. Frying is by far the tastiest.
