my ps3 broke and it cost $160 to fix it. one tip i have for most ps3 owners out there if you swap out your hard drive you void your warranty and you need the original hard drive or sony will not repair your ps3. if you dont believe me call sony repair service. Also if you swap out your hard drive use a 5400rpm because a 7200rpm will break your system. i used a seagate momentus 7200.3 hdd and my system is broke.

They advertise 1 billion bytes (1Gb not GB), which is the actual storage size. 1 billion bytes is not equal to 1 GB. 1GB is 1.073 billion bytes. a 60 billion byte hard drive is measured as 55.87 GB. In order to have a 60GB reading you would need 64 billion bytes. This all boils down to 8 bits in a byte, 1024 bytes in a KB, 1024 KB in a MB, 1024 MB in a GB. Now do the calculation and find out how many bits are in a GB. Yes, it's confusing and they should be labeled Gb not GB. Oh well...

Sort of. But it goes by bytes. Like 1GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes right? Well an actual 1GB is actually less then the bytes they give you. You still have the 60+ GB but it will just read at 55GB. Look at your HD properties carefully. They give you the amount that you pay for. Really they should clarify this problem.

It's because the bigger the hard drive you have the more memory you lose. If you get a normal 60gb you end up with only 55gb. So because you got a 500gb hard drive, you lost alot. That's what I heard from people anyways.

already done it. picked up my MBP 15" 2.4 just last week. Im loving it!! Everything seems so seamless with it. Why the hell have I ever bothered using windows half my life is beyond me. anyways yes its expensive but its an investment and it is worth it? Yes. It still will be when Im ready to sell it in 3 years for an upgrade MBP. I think Id like to get more ram. but do you think 4 gig is a little excessive? You can get the baseline Macbook Pro 15.4" with 2.4 gig processor and 200 gig HD for $2000, which is what I'm picking up myself on Monday. The difference in processor speed is not even noticeable, and you can upgrade the HD eventually if you need to.

I have been using the 5d with 24-105 f4L for 18 months. It's a great camera. Now the 5d Mk 11 is available I am tempted to upgrade to that. But I doubt 22mpx will be of any benefit in a hand-held situation - which is virtually 100% of my shooting these days, so I can't see an extra £1600 with trade in value being worth the trouble, or the cost. Come on Canon, make it worth my while by bringing the price down.

After all the speculation, Canon announced the EOS 5D Mk II on 17 September 2008. It looks like a killer, but still no built-in flash. The body RRP is $2,600 in the US (£2,299 in the UK), and the kit with the EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens is $3,499 in the US and (£3,049 in the UK). Why is everything so expensive here in the UK? Yo! NEVER work on the inside of a computer while you or it are on a piece of cloth! Static electricity can easily burn the paths on chips like RAM. If you absolutely must work without an antistatic wrist strap, at least do it on a solid surface like a countertop or table and ground yourself by touching metal first. Other than that, good demo.

Thanks. Although there was a diagram underneath the battery, it was helpful to see someone do it as I am a recent transitioning macbook user. I upgraded from 2gb to 4gb. Works well with VMware Fusion 2.0 beta 2.

I've used, but not formally tested the Mark I version of the 16-35mm f2.8 and it's a very nice lens. Note there is an improved Mark II version now. Both are however quite expensive due to their f2.8 aperture. Feel free to discuss them in the Canon section of the cameralabs forums...

my ps3 broke and it cost $160 to fix it. one tip i have for most ps3 owners out there if you swap out your hard drive you void your warranty and you need the original hard drive or sony will not repair your ps3. if you dont believe me call sony repair service. Also if you swap out your hard drive use a 5400rpm because a 7200rpm will break your system. i used a seagate momentus 7200.3 hdd and my system is broke.
