For all you young kids out there this song came out in 1970. The lead singer Jim Peterik (may have spelled it wrong)had a girlfriend in the 1960's. She wanted him to drive her around everywhere. He commented to her "what am I, your Vehicle?" He based the song on his old girlfriend. Also, the "vehicle" that he had at the time I believe was a 1962 Dodge Dart.

Not really, all the mods really do is add defferent vehicles, weapons and other stuff like that. Another thing is that people keep whining about it being easy. They do have an expert mode, they do need to put an easy and medium mode for people who aren't as good as others so everybody can enjoy it, not just the best of the best.

They can afford the camera - the problem is that there weren't any 'good' cameras built to handle the kind of vibration that this thing was going through. If you did this today, you'd stick a digi-camcorder in there, but they didn't really exist a decade ago. They were using tape based hardened cameras and transmitting, but there are limits to what you can do when moving parts are involved. Even mil-spec stuff would have struggled with this.

nope... even the Budweiser team admit that no sonic boom was heard. they say the sound of the engines were so loud up close that you couldn't hear the boom. However, no boom was heard at distance. the USAF tower also originally came up with a speed of 38mph and only came up with a record speed 8 hours later. type in "budweiser rocket" on wikipedia and have a look. pretty ballsy effort for 1979 but no one seriously claims anymore that it broke the sound barrier.

Have you ever tried SDRC-Ideas? Now that is shite! Inventor is just very basic. As a preference I would use SolidWorks for machinery, robots, modular design, mechanisms. For automotive/aerospace I prefer Catia V4 (that's right - OLD non-parametric Catia) as I've always found V5 awkward and non-intuitive. In its day (yearr 2000) Pro/E was the best parametric system - not any more but it still has some great features that the others haven't got - regen to tolerance limits stands out.

This is maybe one of my fav videos ever...I watched the entire 2 part'er on Discovery and it was awesome...if ya get a chance check it out. I love the moment where the jets are really firing up and he's voicing 650...700... and then they cut to the outside shot where the SSC is screaming along the desert...that music is a perfect compliment btw. You could use one or 2 of them along with Avestor Lithium batteries, another spinn off from the IREQ (Institut de Recherche en Électricitée du Québec) but they were bankrupted by major coprs too, and then commute to work at 140 kmh for $1.25 PER WEEK. Regenerative braking means you recharge your battery with your kinetic enregy, no brakes

did you know you loose alot of energy when you convert it from 1 form to another? for an electric car you convert it 5 times then put it in a battery (which also reduces total energy by 10%) then finely convert that into kinetic energy that at the end of it you will have around 50 - 60% of the you had originally at the end they usually pollute about the same with the high efficiency petrol cars way ahead for fuel/distance

J, Thats good advice, but u also need to have a secure frame at the back of your seat, just incase of an accident at 60 mph, your seat would not be strong enough to take the force of all that gear coming at you from behind. i worked for a crash repair garage some years ago, i seen some nasty stuff coming in there. For those of you who are seeking real info, like I was, the version EX gives 27.7 mpg (11.3 km/L) on the highway at an average speed of 75 mph (120 km/h), and 19 mpg (7.8 km/L) in a small town, with lots and lots of stops. I have to say it's very comfortable and gives a great acceleration response for its price, size and economy. Good luck!

it's a good car, but hard to call it Sport Utility Vehicle. its spacy, comfortable and so on (i have model with ACC - adaptive cruise control) but when i want to feel the road, i still have to take my wifes mazda 3 which has only 1,6L engine, but the handling and sensibility is another class. but well, crv is a great compromise - its still big, 4wd and great mpg. you cant have it all
