I think I was like 11 or 12 when the Eurythmics had their first US hit. I was instantly sold. I remember quite keenly, how everyone, including critics dismissed them, and her(Annie Lennox) as one hit wonders with no staying power. Wow two decades later and countless hits, they and she, proved them all wrong. I've always loved her voice and her remarkable song writing. Truly amazed that she can still belt out a great hit, and sing a song amazingly well- Live, Not very many artists can.

I think people just differ on opinion. I differ with you too in several regards. If by few you mean two, you are dead wrong? How much is a few? They're are a lot more than just a few chords. (C C/B Am F G Bm, C#). And that doesn't include the arpegios she's playing with her right hand. Besides number of chords has never been a contentious point in determining the quality of music. Kudos to Cal for having the nerve to such an ostensibly provocative talk, and to the Django people for not taking themselves too seriously and being happy to receive constructive, if often jocular, criticism. Genuinely funny. Even the presentation slides are amusing, although many of theme are not clearly visible in the vid. (they're available on Cal's personal site). Best conference video I've seen yet ;-)
