for those who disagree if it werent for writer's and the passion that they have for writting, there wont be anything good for you to see on tv or read about,why shouldnt writers get paid good money for what they write? this year alone i've seen a whole bunch of crappy movies, , and they've never complain about the libary, is unfair that somebody else benefits from their work stupid!!!! that's all.

Can you imagine how much an author is denied every single time I read their books again and lend them to all my family, friends, coworkers, neighbours...? Have you ever thought of how much an author is deprived of because of public libraries lending the books to whoever cares to have them for a week or two and never paying the poor scribblers a single dime? What has the world come to? Is Gezus asleep?

I agree, DirkXXXVI. It seems as though whenever a poor bunch of writers wants cash for their "chicken feed" scripts, they'll complain and ask cash for their handy work. They should work harder and put quailty into what they make, lest their "writers strike" will kill them fast due to failed films and tv shows.

Yes and no. There are times in America where the price for care in some cases is very high however the quality of care is top class. Thanks to the American System I got completly cured of a condition that usually last a lifetime. If I was in Canada I probably would have had to wait about a year just to get treated. A lot of people think that UHC will fix everything but usually those people are the ones that ignore the horror stories from countries like Canada and the UK.

Unfortunately yes. I still can't believe the writers won with all the crap being placed on market by Hollywood. The only thing I thought worth keeping were the writers working in television as a good amount of them put out quality work, while the movies being released these days are usually a joke.

You have clearly underestimated the cleverness of writers and OVERestimated what it takes to be a lawyer. These days ANYBODY with enough resolve could take the bar, but not everyone has the wit and NATURAL talent and creative ability to be a writer. True, there is crap on the tube today, but even the CRAP is hard to write! Most people dont know how to write comedy because most people are BORING!

Here is a challenge for you writers, write something so good that it will compel me to turn on my TV to watch something other than the News. Or try writing a TV show that mentions Catholicism without being COMPLETELY WRONG about it on every account. Try putting even one, just ONE well formed Latin Sentence into a script. But you know what I will take before all of that, if you stop putting Racist Stereotypes on TV constantly. I don't want to see that and shouldn't have to.

I dare say it is harder then writting an episode of Full House. I have seen High School plays written and directed by teenagers that were much better than what is on TV today. All the writers could have bee lawyers huh? I don't believe that and neither does anyone else. Writers should get payed but millionairs on strike is stupid.
