Um, I think you are forgetting that they went back in time. Those quotes were technically said thousands of years ago. Then again, what if those quotes were never said, would it be such a big deal? What really gets on my tits with transformers is how sometimes they r overly humanised for the audience to relate to. Like pictures in frames and a vase of flowers. I mean come on... The worse part though about Beast Wars is when they use quotes or phrasesd which havent even been invented yet seeing as the closest thing to a human in the series is an ape with a club.

Actually, in the aftermath of the destruction of the Unicron-moon at the end of season 1, the energy surge didn't exactly "blow up" the Energon. Rather, it converted them into the Energon Cubes from G1 Transformers. Rhinox explains this at the start of season 2.
