I'm pretty sure that the writers were not being paid enough for their work. The companies and stuff that hired them were making a lot of money, but they weren't giving enough of that to the writers. The writers went on strike to bring attention to the fact that they weren't receiving enough credit for their work. But the problem has been resolved now (I think...) and they are being paid a better amount.

They deserve SO MUCH MORE. Like, pretty much all of the profits. When you think about it. Because it's really thanks to the writers (and the actors) more than ANYTHIGN ELSE that a show is what it is. GOOD FOR THEM! Strike, strike, strike! I supported your decision :) Even though I AM glad it's over.

It's the principle of the matter. If you produce something, you should be compensated for it. It doesn't matter how rich you are...and writers really work hard to get where they are and deserve compensation.

I agree, DirkXXXVI. It seems as though whenever a poor bunch of writers wants cash for their "chicken feed" scripts, they'll complain and ask cash for their handy work. They should work harder and put quailty into what they make, lest their "writers strike" will kill them fast due to failed films and tv shows.

Yes and no. There are times in America where the price for care in some cases is very high however the quality of care is top class. Thanks to the American System I got completly cured of a condition that usually last a lifetime. If I was in Canada I probably would have had to wait about a year just to get treated. A lot of people think that UHC will fix everything but usually those people are the ones that ignore the horror stories from countries like Canada and the UK.

You have clearly underestimated the cleverness of writers and OVERestimated what it takes to be a lawyer. These days ANYBODY with enough resolve could take the bar, but not everyone has the wit and NATURAL talent and creative ability to be a writer. Wow, Mr. Racist got to stir his ugly head up. How hard is selling shoes, maybe you should ask next tiime you go in to buy some and you will get an ear full. I dare say it is harder then writting an episode of Full House. I have seen High School plays written and directed by teenagers that were much better than what is on TV today. All the writers could have bee lawyers huh? I don't believe that and neither does anyone else. Writers should get payed but millionairs on strike is stupid.
